Hi Doctor,
Issue ::
Around 5 months ago while jumping as a part of dance movements I felt a sudden pain in my right knee, I thought it would heel by time however it is not till today.
Action from my end :
When I went for a recent free knee check up doctor checked and assumed that could be a minor meniscus tear and suggested me to use cold packs for 10 days and keep my knee in rest mode and I have done as said but still I feel pain when I climb down the stairs and while doing lounging movements or any jumps.
Suggestion from your end:
Please suggest what it could be and is MRI scan required or please suggest any natural heeling methods.
Note : I am using ZERODOL P TAB and PAN 40MG TAB as medications as prescribed by the same Doc.

Its always better to confirm the mensical tear with an MRI. If its healed then its safe to start with strengthening exercises along with ice pack application. There are many exercises which can be done .But do it under proper guidance.
Hi!! I would suggest you to go for physiotherapy and exercises for 10-15 days and see the effect. For initial days normal range of motion exercises and depending upon the response progressing to strengthening exercises. If that helps then there is no need for MRI. U can try Physiotherapy for around 1 month then u can decide upon MRI.
Hi, as it is already five months of injury so you need MRI to know details of the injury. But you need strengthening of knee muscles under the guidance of a Musculoskeletal Physio.
Natural healing not possible. It will give you temporary relief and you can't do your activity.
So laser physiotherapy treatment will help you in meniscus tear.
You can contact ADMIRE physiotherapy laser CLINIC in noida .
Try icing and physiotherapy .
Isometric exercises to be more precise also avoid extreme bending of knee .
If the pain still persists go for MRI and consult a orthopaedic surgeon
Next Steps
try physiotherapy dry needling, isometric exercises under proper guidance
Hi, they are some basic test can be performed to find out whether there is meniscus tear with out MRI ..and one of is diagnosis physiotherapy modalities can be given to reduce the pain and proper knee rehabilitation programme ( exercise)
has to done to avoid recurrence and to strength the meniscus
Good evening.
Is there any locking of the knee?
Where is exact location of pain?
Meniscus is not very vascular thing hence chances of healing are bleak.
ice pack was good at acute phase of pain bt now u need to work upon ur muscle for strengthening of ur knee joint along with to relieve pain. Better to start physiotherapy for fast n best improvement
