There is no cure for a tear and it will slowly degenerate. What one can do is to get the knee in shape so that whatever happens inside you will not feel any adverse symptoms and will not have any future disability.
Please get hold of a good physio who can plan a proper protocol which will include Strengthening, balance and proprioception training. The list is very vast so it must be tailored to your needs. If handles properly complete resolution of symptoms and no recurrance can be achieved. The tear may not heal and it doesn't matter because what prompted you to seek medical advice is pain. So If pain settles then what's there to worry.
