Meniscus tear and ACL sprain
I got a meniscus injury on my right leg. Could someone please let me know if it can be treated without surgery? As doctor told me no need to do surgery . IMPRESSION: - MRI features suggestive of > Anterior cruciate ligament sprain. • Grade I signal is seen in the posterior horn of medial meniscus. • Peripheral, vertical, longitudinal tear of posterior horn of medial meniscus at the meniscocapsular junction. • Chondral fraying with subchondral marrow edema in the medial aspect of medial tibial plateau.

Kindly visit a ortho surgeon for clinical examination. Usually this type of injuries don't need surgery.

The decision of operating a meniscal injury depends on your complaints and clinical signs. Usually patients who need surgery presents with pain or locking sensation in their knee. Your MRI is needed just for correlation of your clinical findings.
