Memory loss
I have anxiety, and I am taking medicines ( parogen cr plus 12.5 , zosert 50 , clomip 25 ) these 3 medicine I take once at night but now I feel like I have memory loss due to this , my exam come after one month please guide me

Increased anxiety also can present as memory loss as your attention and concentration decreases so patient feels like he is having memory loss. As your having exam coming consult to psychiatrist online or personally.

You need to consult your treating psychiatrist who knows your history, illness characteristics and revise the prescription. SSRIs and TCAs along with benzos can all cause cognitive deficits like memory impairment, it can also be due to the anxiety. So it needs meticulous Psychiatric evaluation to arrive at a conclusion. There are 2 SSRI - paroxetine and sertraline, both are good molecules for anxiety, but both of them are at sub therapeutic doses, plus there isn’t a need for both the molecules to be given that the same time, it just adds on to the side effect profile, especially of Paroxetine, given its additional binding profile of anticholinergic antihistaminic receptors which leads to cognitive dulling, sedation, constipation, dry mouth etc.
Clomipramine is a TCA - tricyclic antidepressant, again having a multiple binding profile leads to side effects of drowsiness and confusion.

You should consult a psychiatrist to adjust your drug dosages and keep minimal treatment.

Memory loss , “as you experience “ may be due two reasons:-
1) Anxiety can impair your attention and concentration
2) Medications you are using can cause ‘sedation’ as side effect which can also impair attention and concentration
3) or both
It is unlikely for a 21 year old to have primary memory loss if there is no any other associated symptoms( headache , fever,history of head injury ,co morbidities etc)
Next Steps
Take psychiatric consultation and have to re-acess whether you need all 3 medications or just any 1 of them based on severity and duration of your symptoms
