Medicine withdrawal problem
I was suffering from depression during last months of previous year. I took medical help and was treated pretty successfully. My dosage was gradually reduced and till last month I was on Citadep 5mg. I consulted my doctor and she said to stop as I was feeling okay. However after a fortnight of stopping, I am suffering from difficulty in falling asleep and bloating. Are these withdrawal effects and if so what shall be the corrective action. Note:Me and my Doctor are currently in different cities.

Hello
Sleep disturbance can occur due to antidepressant withdrawal however it should gradually settle if it is due to withdrawal alone. Please try some relaxation techniques such as meditation and breathing techniques to help you sleep. If the problem persists, consult a psychiatrist.
