Heavy bleeding, cramps and nausea with your first period after a miscarriage are common. Your body is still settling hormonally, especially with PCOD in the picture. This usually eases over the next cycle or two.
Next Steps
A work certificate needs to come from the doctor who treated your miscarriage, since only they can officially document this. Please see that doctor today if the bleeding or nausea hasn't eased, so they can examine you and issue the note.
Health Tips
Go in sooner if the bleeding becomes heavier than a normal period, you feel dizzy or faint, or the pain doesn't ease with rest.
