Treatment depends upon your symptoms and duration. If you have symptoms of locking or episodes of catching pain in knee for more than 6 weeks then surgery is indicated. You should do knee exercises meanwhile.
Surgery is the best option. It's an arthroscopic surgery that is done and you can walk back home the same day. It's a key home surgery which will help your knee to become yourself normal. No other form of treatment can heal the meniscus
