Maladaptive day dreaming
I day dream too much and it gets in my way and I couldn't live my life. I spend most of my life living in fantasy. I couldn't recognize myself anymore. I am good but still it sucks.

Hi there …to start with make a schedule for the day which is easy to follow and stick to it. Write down the things you would like to do and things which are necessary to do. Prioritise them and start finishing them one by one. It’s okay if you can manage doing a few for at least it’ll get you started. You can set aside sometime for your daydreaming too. Indulge in a hobby, enroll for a course which will help you learn some skill. This will make you productive and you will feel good with a self of achievement. It will be a great motivation to finish more tasks. Along with this take out time for exercise or play a sport as it helps in boosting the good hormones which make you feel better. Hi, Daydreaming can be a beautiful escape, but when it starts to hinder your ability to engage with reality, it’s essential to take proactive steps to regain balance in your life. It’s great to recognize this pattern, as self-awareness is the first step toward change. Start by setting aside designated times for daydreaming or creative thinking so that you can indulge in these fantasies without them interfering with your daily responsibilities. Additionally, consider grounding techniques such as mindfulness or meditation, which can help you stay present and reconnect with your thoughts and feelings in the moment. It might also be beneficial to explore your daydreams more constructively; perhaps they’re pointing you toward unfulfilled desires or ambitions. Journaling about your daydreams can help you clarify your true interests and aspirations, allowing you to take actionable steps to integrate those elements into your real life. Remember, it's okay to dream, but finding a way to merge those dreams with your reality can lead to a more fulfilling and authentic life. You have the ability to harness your imagination in a way that enriches your present rather than distracts from it.
