Majority of doc doc including pgi chd doc told me animal bite does not cause any fertility. But mosquito bite cause filarial orchitis. My ques is can it be neglected . My doc must have consider that also . I live in j and k

Yes. It can be neglected. Filariasis is spread by mosquito bites. The larva is deposited in the body during mosquito bites. The larva travels along lymphatic vessels and goes to lymph nodes. It is quite rare . About 5000 cases per year. You should be unlucky to be bitten by a mosquito which has filarial larva . That larva goes to the scrotum. Causes hydrocele. And that hydrocele causes Infertility. The chances less than the chances of your being hit by a train when you are going through a subway. Lots of things are theoretically possible but we go by statistics.
