We sincerely request you please not self-medicate. There are chances you may find no relief and may experience an aggravation of symptoms. Homeopathy medicines are not prescribed on the basis of a diagnosis; Homeopathy treatment is based on your complete mental, physical, past, and family history. Even though Homeopathy medicines do not contain heavy chemical doses and are safe in general, a thorough understanding of the patient is still a prerequisite. Thank you!

To answer your question, 1- Homoeopathy is/should never be prescribed on the basis of just a diagnosis without taking the proper history. 2- Such high repetition of doses 10-10-10 for 200 potency is against the basic principle/philosophy of Homoeopathy. It is a science which is based on the least possible dose. So never take such repetitions. 3- Do not self medicate. There are 1000 remedies that can be used for IBS but the selection is done on the basis of your complete history. One medicine cannot be given to all IBS patients, that is like how Allopathy is prescribed. Homoeopathy is based on individualization.

Please don't self medicate. It will be harmful and it is not a sure shot remedy. It all depends on your case history. You may req medicine other than lycopodium. Please consult.

you can consult your doctor who had advised you lycopodium. Definately he/ she had given you medication on basis of your symptom. By asking through medicine weather dose it is excessive is inappropriate.

Selection of medicine, choice of potancy and repetition of dose all things are based on case .      If a qualified Homoeopath has taken and analysed the case and then suggested this medicine, potancy and such repetition, you can continue other wise contact any good Homoeopath.

If a homoeopath doctorhas adviced you lycopodium with dose to be taken , then go with it If you yourself are planning or already taking lycopodium 200 , then it is advised to consult a homoeopath and then to take the medicine. Homoepathy works on the concept that every person is different and so need a specific medicine as there are many medicines for IBS.
