Lump on head
My son is 7 days old,and yesterday we saw a lump on his skull, however i don't think this is painful or irritating as he shows no sign of it and this lump doesn't have any colour like bluish or reddish or tan anything. Please advice...

Let a pediatrician check it, size, shape, touch, softness, hardness etc. Otherwise difficult to say from picture

The pictures are not clear. Still did you find the lump once you shaved the head  or otherwise did you notice?. Any jaundice or yellowish colour in eyes? What delivery? Ceaserian or normal.? The lump has to be examined  Please show nearby pediatrician.

from the picture it appears to be a cephalhematoma ( swelling occurring in layers of the scalp due to long labour ) it will settle in a few weeks. it is very soft to touch and does not cause the baby any harm or pain.
