LRS of broken tibia
She met with road accident suffered fracture on femir and tinia of left leg. Now they did internal nailing on femir but did LRS on tibia due to some infection. But LRS is very heavy, now is it possible to replace the LRS rod with any lite equipment after 3 months so that she can go to her college easily.

Avoid anything as chance of union of bone decreases with multiple operation

Better to continue it.. multiple surgery on same bone should be avoided

Thats the decision of the surgeon depending upon the patients scenario... If the infection is totally subsidised u can go with  nailing+/- bone grafting
