Lower right Neck pain
Hello, I am having neck pain which is frequent like sometimes I can feel it and sometimes not. I can't sleep on my stomach facing the right side because it stretches the neck and it hurts. The pain is not that sharp but it's uncomfortable and I can't sleep. Also sometimes at night my hands feel too weak while sleeping like they don't have any energy to move at all. My Vitamin B12 is borderline around 200. Could the deficiency be causing the issue? Thanks

unlikely due the vitamin b 12 deficiency, rather an cervical spine issues due to your posture, improper pillow size, ligaments or nerves etc.You can try some OTC pain reliever and do neck exercise. If not relieved consult a orthopedist for a clinical examination and appropriate management.

It has nothing to do with Vit B12 . Just keep a good posture while sitting in a chair. Don't lean your head forward while sitting for more than 10 -15 mins straight. Do hot water fomentation every night for 10 mins before sleeping. Apply any painkiller gel over neck before going to bed for 1 week. For further assistance/ queries.contact

Your symptoms of lower right neck pain and nighttime hand weakness could be linked to nerve compression, poor posture, muscle strain, or a cervical spine issue (such as a pinched nerve or mild disc herniation). Possible Causes: ✔ Cervical Radiculopathy – A pinched nerve in the neck due to poor posture or disc issues. ✔ Vitamin B12 Deficiency – A level of 200 pg/mL is borderline low and can contribute to nerve pain, tingling, and weakness. ✔ Poor Sleeping Position – Avoid stomach sleeping and try a cervical pillow. ✔ Repetitive Strain – If you work long hours on a computer or use a phone excessively, it may strain the neck. Recommendations: Correct Posture & Ergonomics: Keep your screen at eye level and avoid looking down at devices for long periods. Neck Strengthening Exercises: Gentle stretching and physiotherapy can help. B12 Supplementation: Consider Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg daily for a few months (consult a doctor first). MRI Cervical Spine: If symptoms persist or worsen, imaging may be required. Since nerve-related issues need detailed assessment, I strongly recommend a personalized consultation. It seems more towards cervical pain than vitamin deficiency. Start physiotherapy and vit b12 supplements as well
