Lower back pain
Have been having lower back pain for about 3 weeks now. At times it becomes worse with me being unable to change between positions of sitting or standing or walking or lying down without severe pain. Pain seems to radiate from the tailbone area to mid-to-lower backbone area. Please suggest remedying measures.

If symptoms have not reduced for this Long then you need to take more corrective measures. Firstly make sure that the posture you sit in is correct. Then you need to take regular breaks when you are sitting for long. Do not take bed rest. Use a firm bed for sleeping. Stay active and mobile. Take simple painkillers like Paracetamol 1gram up to 4 times a day. If you do not have any gastritis or ulcers or asthma you can also take Diclofenac 50mg 3 times a day. Use ice packs on your back. Try this regime for 2-3 weeks and if your pain does not get much better, then you need to see an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon. Hope this helps.
