Sodium 130 is definitely low and may be troublesome for muscular function in general and heart in particular. The medicines may cause loss of sodium in urine so ensure his salt intake is not drastically reduced as happens with patients of hypertension. If needed he may be given ORS Solution intermittently with monitoring of Sodium level. Alternatively Sodamint tablets may also be prescribed by his physician if deemed necessary.
