Low platelet count from long time.

Asked for Male, 53 Years

Nearly 2 years ago, my father had typhoid and after that till now platelets count is always between 0.56 to 0.80. We are giving him all kinds of food that can increase platelets but nothing seems to be working. Can anyone help me with it?

It doesnt matter if patient doesnt have bleeding symptom. Use high protein diet and more liquid. Get an usg abdomen done for spleen size.
