My father did his health checkup recently.
Platelet count was 130000
Doctor prescribed Hetrazan tablet for 50 days and asked to test again after 15 days, to see if platelet count is increasing.
Wanted to take a second opinion. Is it recommended to take it.

Did you get health checkup in routine or he was experiencing some sort of problem?
If in routine you got done and he is not experiencing any fatigue, fever… then get repeat cbc …
No need to take medications
This could be his normal levels… if you have any previous report of CBC… u can compare with that also
Hetrazan is not prescribed for low platelet count. It appears that your father has a high eosinophil count, which is commonly seen in cases of allergic reactions or parasitic infections. The doctor has likely prescribed Hetrazan to treat one of these underlying causes.
To properly assess his platelet count, more information is needed—such as why these tests were ordered, what symptoms he has been experiencing, and whether a peripheral smear has been done.
