Low amniotic fluid in 9th mnth pregnancy
Hello, I am 37th week pregnant and suffering from low amniotic fluid. Could you please let me know the reasons for low amniotic fluid. Will this affect my baby? My friend informed that low amniotic fluid may be caused due to genetic disorders in the baby. Is that true? I am married to my cousin.

You have to give a proper ANC history & scan report to come to conclusion .                               Getting married to your cousin will not  cause less AFI .
Next Steps
normally AFI should be 8 in 36 weeks of pregnancy .if it is too less your gynaecologist would have informed you as already 37 weeks , terminated pregnancy .
Health Tips
don't worry . drink plenty of water .                     get a obstetric Doppler study done for the wellbeing of the baby .

Hi. AfI shd be min 8 around 37 weeks . The scans that you would have done in preg would have given some idea that the baby is fine .So do not worry . After delivery baby will be again cheked by a neonatologist .
