Betnesol injection in 37th week
Hi, My wife is 36 weeks pregnant. Doctor has given her Betnesol injection 12mg for two days as her spot is 244 and sgot is 300. Please advise is it safe? Thanks, Gaurav

Betnisol causes increase in blood sugars. If she s not a diabetic or gestational diabetic or impaired blood sugars during pregnancy patient then nothing to be done. However if she has any of the above ideally she should b given insulin to lower blood sugars and this also ll settle automatically in 48hrs
