Loss appetite after BKA surgery
My father undergoing BKA surgery last Thursday, until now he has no appetite to eat. He only request to drink. When he tried to eat, he will vomit again. Today the doctor allowed him to go home, i just worried that he will lost pound without doctor monitor. Also we do not have knowledge on diabetic menu to feed my father. FYI, my father has history on 17 years diabetes, stage 2 kidney disease, vascular problem.

Foods to avoid –sweets, puddings, ice creams, honey, gur and sugar .jams, jellies, chutney, tomato sauce. Fried and oily foods like pakoras, pooris, tikki, vada, samosa, paratha.Processed cheese, full cream milk , butter and ghee. Biscuits, rusks, cakes,corn flakes, pastries and choclates.Fruits juices, milk shakes, syrups, alcoholic beverages, aerated cold drinks. Fried fish, fried chicken, fried meats, kebas (full of salt).Refined white flour, Maida, cornstarch, white bread, buns, bagels. Sweet potato, beet root, arbi, potato and carrots.White rice, biryani, fired rice, noodles, pasta, Bananas, mangoes, grapes, chiku, lichi. Foods – consumable freely .Lemon water , tea and coffee without sugar, green tea, unsweetened cocoa powder, carbonated water ,
