Loose motions
I was diagnosed with typhoid last month. My doctor had prescribed me Azithromycin 500mg and Calpol tab for 7 days. My course completed on 4/5th June. I also suddenly started having an upset stomach on the 3rd day of the course, so I took Immodium and started following a lighter diet. But it's been almost a month now, but still I have the same problem. I don't have any other issues. I'm eating light, but whenever I eat even little spice also I immediately get an upset stomach and a loose motion. Since more than a month I haven't had a normal motion. Is it because of the antibiotics? Because my typhoid was diagnosed after 3 weeks, but I only had one symptom of fever. No other symptom, this thing started only after the antibiotic course. Kindly advise.

Some times it takes very long to recover from the effects of Typhoid therapy. Try tablet Sporolac thrice daily for 10 days. Take non fatty and non spicy food. Return to normal food habits gradually over a period of 2-3 months. You are having Obesity problem as well. Consult a dietician. Do regular physical exercises for 1-2 hours daily. Over a period of 1 year you should reduce your weight by 50 kgs.
