Usually the diarrhoea under 5 years of children is caused by viruses, most of the being rota virus,so no medicines are advised, give ORS to the child after each loose stools,And give soft diet..
Next Steps
only Give ORS, encourage other oral liquids, give soft diet
Health Tips
watch for urine, child should pass urine atleast once in 6hous and activity of the child and look out for any other symptoms like high grade fever, blood and mucus in stools,if so then consult with your pediatrician, medicines may be required

You can give, but why are you giving antibiotics. Loose motion simply respond to properly make ORS and rehydration therapy. Consult nearest doctor to find cause of diarrhea. Antibiotics are not to take on your own.
Next Steps
take proper hydration. give ORS primarily. look for danger sign, if frequency of motion increased and consistency increased, and child looks dull then immediately consult to nearest doctor
Health Tips
ORS is leading cause of illness and death as per WHO, but only remedy is still yet best proven is ORS therapy. if not relieved then go for antibiotics and anti secretary drugs or any other causes
