Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. Your case has been allotted to me. I understand your concern persistent watery loose motions for five days with fever and partial relief from previous medicines indicates that this requires proper evaluation rather than self-medication, as prolonged diarrhea can lead to dehydration and may be due to infections or other underlying causes. ✅ Advices • Drink plenty of water and oral rehydration solution to prevent dehydration • Eat small, bland meals such as rice, khichdi, toast, and bananas until symptoms improve • Avoid oily, spicy, and dairy-heavy foods for now • Continue probiotics like Enterogermina to restore gut flora What to Monitor • Frequency and volume of stools • Presence of blood, mucus, or severe abdominal pain • Signs of dehydration such as dizziness, low urine output, or dry mouth Management Avoid further use of loperamide or antibiotics without a doctor’s guidance, as inappropriate use may worsen infection. Persistent watery diarrhea beyond five days requires stool examination to determine the exact cause and appropriate treatment. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately • High fever above 102 degrees Fahrenheit or persistent fever • Blood in stools or black tarry stools • Severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or signs of dehydration Every patient situation is unique. For accurate diagnosis and safe treatment, it is important to review your stool reports, medical history, and symptoms in detail. You can reach out to me directly for this case and also connect with me in future for any medical consultation. I am available on Practo or on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a one-on-one consultation where you will receive: A personalized treatment plan Safe medicine adjustments if required Quick follow-ups to track your recovery Take care wishing you good health Best regards Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
