I've realized that the gum around 3 of my teeth are loose. I looked up receding gums but I don't think I have that. My other gums are fine besides these ones. They look the same except that they are loose and are no longer attached to my teeth

Hi your gums are loose beacayse you have a lot of deposits around ur tooth that isn’t allowing ur gums to get attached to the surfaces of the teeth. Barely removing them with a good round of cleaning is sufficient. Your dentist will prescribe some mouth washes post the cleaning for the same
There are many reasons of loosening of gums. See if there is any tartar formation on and out and around your teeth. If yes then go for scaling. If the tartar formation is deep the dentist will do root planing also. After this is is your job to maintain it. Not hard but soft brushing in circular manner and not horizontal manner. From inside and out. Using gum paint eg. Gumex, twice or thrice a day to tighten your gums. And recover to its normal size and position. And use of Chlorhexidine mouth wash 0.2% twice a day diluted. Now all this will only work when your gums are receded to a kittle extent which can be repaired via this method.
But if your bone level and gums are receded beyond a certain extent then, only this treatment wont work. Then you may have to go of bone grafting and a periodontal surgery to level up your bone and gums.
The dentist will take an OPG before the surgery and he will do the needful. Do the treatment on time before its too late. Or else you may find yourself loosing those teeth in some years. And then that replacement will be an all together another procedure. Good luck.
Hello mam, a general cleaning followed by. Chlorhexidine mouthwash, two times brushing and flossing everyday, will maintain your gums healthy and attached to your teeth...
You probably have plaque and tartar causing inflammation of the gum. Please get a scaling and polishing done and then focus on Home maintainence with brushing twice a day, flossing and mouthwash
