Liver Problem, water logging in body
My brother in law is having liver problem and local doctors are suggesting for liver transplantation. It is a big step for us and we dont know if it is required or not. He has a drinking history and had jaundice in liver a year and half back. He is not able to eat properly, quite weak now and local doctors are suggesting for quick hospitalizatio

Your brother in law is probably suffering from decompensated liver cirrhosis due to alcohol. Thats why he has jaundice with ascitis (water collection in body) and is very weak. Yes in case of liver cirrhosis it is better to undergo liver transplantation as this is the best treatment for such cases. Please go to some tertiary care hospital where the doctors would evaluate bettwr and will probably consider for transplant also.
