Liver cirrhosis
My wife suffering from spleenomegaly after that liver cirrhosis and grade 2 bilateral renal changes. Portal hypertension. Her age 24.whats the reason for this. Doctors are not interested in doing biopsy because of low platelets. Contraceptives can cause this type of condition. She 4 years back she used livonorgestrel 1.5 mg tableta two times in a month. Is this the reason pls tell me.

She might be having EPVO.. but cirrhosis occurs in later stages.. so I doubt if it's cirrhotic
Contraceptive might not be cause.. usually in such situations, it very difficult to find the cause.. instead it's best to look ahead n think what to do next..
If liver is cirrhotic, then transplant should be thought of... but cant really comment without looking at all her investigation..
