Liver cirrhosis / diabetes

Asked for Male, 61 Years

My father was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis 4 years back. He takes his protein powder on daily basis as prescribed by doctor. From last 2 weeks his sugar is fluctuating. Highest has gone upto 270. He takes Mefomin SR medicine from last 4 years. I guess this medicine is not working anymore for him.

Insulin is the best option. But other medicines also can be used. Do Frequent blood Sugar test & consult online please
