LIS for fissures
My brother did LIS surgery for fissures three days back . He experiences pain while bowel movement . The pain is also severe . Is this due to the wound still not healing . Also sometimes there is blood but not in the bowel it is common . What is the recovery period in LIS

It’s quite common after surgery Drink more liquids and have a fibre rich diet Take Sitz bath and stool softeners ( cremaffin) and hopefully this will settle within a week

It is fine to have pain and some amount of blood post LIS. It takes 2 weeks time to settle down. Keep continuin sitz bath.

Have to continue the medications advised. Along with sitz bath 3 times and stool softners
