Light period, Negative Beta HCG
Hello doctor, I was on birth control pill but I stopped in the month of July. Since then I have not been sexually active. I had unprotected sex on 12th September which was my cycle's 9th day. But just to be safe i had a ipill within an hour. My period date was 4th September. Now in the month of October I got my period on 2nd oct however it was very less. Only spotting for 3 days on and off. I wanted to know was this my period because of hormonal imbalance because of ipill. I did beta HCG on 9th October which was Negative  I have PCOD and my cycle is normally around 30-35 days. Does negative beta HCG surely rules out pregnancy?

Beta HCG test can trace even small amount HCG in the beginning of pregnancy. If it is negative, it is highly unlikely that it's pregnancy. That too if spotting on 3rd and u did test on 9 th. For further surety , u can check with urine HCG kit today even. If negative it's surely not pregnancy. In pcod patient less or no bleeding is common.
