There could be a cavity between the teeth which is not clinically visible or could be muscle spasm. If the pain aggravates on eating hot, it could be an infected tooth. It sounds like a wisdom tooth is erupting and if so, the pain could be due to food lodgement in the gums. Take Ketorol DT in case of pain (sos) and show your dentist for a clinical checkup.
Next Steps
Show your dentist and a xray will help in the diagnosis.
