I jammed my left index finger while playing basketball about 3 and a half weeks ago. It felt like it popped or cracked, and I was initially concerned that it dislocated, but it wasn't. It immediately swelled up, but I continued to play with it. Later that night, I splinted it, simply thinking it was a jammed finger. It felt better after a few days, but it hasn't really improved at all. There's still a tender spot along the second and third knuckle, and it hurts to fully straighten or bend it.

First and foremost thing is don't try move fingers forcefully, that can cause more damage in injured area. So continue to use splint.
Secondly go for ultrasound imaging for proper diagnosis of the injury .
