It will take time of 4-6 months to recover, dont get depressed, continue physiotherapy sessions and so exercises at home even after physio sessions. It is connected to nerves, it will take time recover, if there is no improvement, consult in person with expert physiotherapist or neuro physician for diagnosis.

Please can you send me the X-ray of your knee with your implant in situ
Next Steps
It usually gets better if the nerve is stretched or bruised .. time duration can be upto 4-5 months. Recovery will be suggested by electrical sensation in the region of nerve recovery. However if the nerve is cut or transected highly unlikely then recovery is doubtful...
Health Tips
What id suggest is - BE POSITIVE have faith in your surgeon..... take Nerve recovery meds and multivitamins. DO PHYSIOTHERAPY EXERCISES and wear a foot drop splint... Do a nerve conduction study and take a Neurologist opinion DR SENTHIL KAMALASEKARAN SENIOR CONSULTANT ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON CHENNAI ORTHO CLINIC / Apollo hospitals Chennai
