Lean body with acidity issues
Hello Doctors, I am 26 and my height is 5.3ft and the weight is around 61kg. But I don't look fit at all even though I eat more. I have a slightly sedentary lifestyle due to my IT work from home job. I have gotten a slight belly fat also from last year. My height is less which won't increase at this age. But,I want to look properly healthy and fit. My wrists are also thin. I have a concern that I have sickle cell trait which I assume is whether it's opposing my body growth. I have acidity issues as well. I was searching for some medicines in ayurveda and found one named "Dhatukalpa lehyam" by SKM and checked it's ingredients. But I am not sure about it. Could you please advise me ? Thanks.

You look perfectly normal to me , but i guess the current celebrity mimicking attitude is making you have a doubt about your appearance. Focus on staying healthy for which you should follow HAIP DIET.

“Hi, from what you’ve shared your weight is in a healthy range for your height, but the belly fat and acidity are showing imbalance due to sedentary lifestyle and digestion issues, not necessarily sickle cell trait. Just taking a tonic like Dhatukalp lehyam won’t fix the root cause—in fact, with acidity it may not even suit you. In Ayurveda, we usually correct digestion first, balance doshas, and then plan medicines and diet to reduce belly fat while improving strength and fitness. If you want a proper plan that actually works for your body type, it’s best we connect in consult—I’ll guide you step by step with the right diet, lifestyle and medicines.”

"Low weight with thin frame can be due to weak digestion, sedentary lifestyle, and nutrition imbalance. Sickle cell trait may slightly affect stamina but not overall growth. Ayurveda medicines like Dhatukalpa formulations can help improve strength, muscle mass, and digestion, but should be personalized. I suggest you consult me for a tailored plan with diet, exercises, and medicines."

The changes you are experiencing are mainly related to your daily lifestyle. To maintain a healthy BMI, the first and most important steps are adopting proper dietary habits and engaging in regular physical activity. Even 30 minutes of brisk walking or exercise daily can make a significant difference. If you are concerned about sickle cell disease, it is advisable to undergo an appropriate investigation once, as this will help rule it out and prevent ongoing worry. Regarding the drug you mentioned, it is not related to your current issue. Your symptoms seem more connected to digestive imbalance. In Ayurveda, there are specific treatments available to correct digestion, which can relieve acidity and associated problems.
Next Steps
For a personalized prescription and detailed management plan, I would recommend a direct consultation, either online or in person.
