Hello doctor, can stomach infection cause periods to delay?
I got stomach infection on 24th January. I did not have loosies that time and i thought it was getting better but then on 30th january I had severe stomach pain and then loosies and a lot of fluids. Since then I am having loosies except yesterday and today. My periods were due on 5th February but it seems like its two days late now. Is it because of my stomach infection bcs i have a fairly regular cycle of 30 days. How long can it be late?

Hello,
Stomach infection does not affect your period cycle. Wait for 5 more days for your periods to come. If they do not come then visit a gynecologist for further evaluation.
You can also visit my clinic International Fertility Centre located in New Delhi for further evaluation. My clinic offers varied gynecology treatments and services to help you have a successful treatment. You can mail me your contact details so that I can get in touch with you.
Dont worry, sometimes because of stress periods can delay by few days. Just wait for 4-5 days, you should get your periods otherwise consult Gynaecologist
