Then all of our family members suffered by cold and because of that my son again caught cold and during sleep i heard some different sound while he breathe. The very next day we visit doctor and doctor examine for 1 week. Then he prescribed lasma 5mg tablet everyday. Now i gave that medicine regularly. We don't have family history of asthma. Lasma (montelukast) is quite safe. It is used upto 3 months at a time even for allergic colds. Side effects are rare. There is no known addiction. He may be given the tablet for 15-20 days. Nothing will happen if you stop it. Since he is recurrently catching cough, you should try some home remedies like warm water with honey, hot liquids like soups, kadha, meditation/listening to classical music, eating only fresh cooked home foods, walking/ exercise. Also avoid packaged food, outside food, weight gain.
