Lasik surgeryis now a days very common procedure done for Refractive correction. Like every other surgery there are some risk of complications associated with the procedure, the percentage of which is very low. Also, to avoid any such risks , the surgeon usually do some pre op test to see whether you can opt for Lasik or you need to look for other alternatives ( like ICL), making the chances of complications negligible.
