Cataract surgery not able to view proper
Good morning Madam / Sir
Under monofocal which type of lens are suitable for cataract surgery. If we use monofocal lens can we see intermediate vision properly which means for cooking.My mother age 50 is suffering from cataract issue.it is more in right eye. So which type of lens are suitable for my mother.I request you to give me clarity regarding this.

Monofocal helps in distance vision only..you need glasses for intermediate and near work
EDOF helps in distance and intermediate vision and you need glasses for near work
Multifocal or trifocal work on all three distance but have glare problem and brain adjustment is required
Type of Iol depends on the individual patient’s requirement and can be best counselled by your operating ophthalmologist
