Vision got worse after cataract surgery
My dad got operated for cataract surgery on right eye which was successful... After a week he got operated on left eye which worsen his vision Doctor told he has advanced diabetic retinopathy and gave a injection and 2 prp laser treatment therapy which made his vision even bad

Yes if the father is already a diabetic and if there is much fluctuating the blood sugar level it may damage the retinal cells , may causes diabetic macular oedema , eventually the vision is dependent on retinal wellness, there may be the oedema after cataract surgery to minimise it the doctor has prescribed you to take the anti.VEGF injection to minimise the retinal oedema
