For powers less than -3.0DS I would not recommene lasik surgery.
Significant risks include - dry eyes, difficulty in night driving, haloes around lights,
other risks are undercorrection and overcorrection which can occur more frequently in smaller powers.

All the queries pertaining to lasik can be answered on doing pre-lasik workup.. the eye surgeon examines your eye and does a scan called as topography..
Now this checkup gives exact percentages of chances of complication or risks.
Cost again depends on type of surgery, which in turn is dependent on pre lasik workup
Why should one not take surgery:
The one who has unrealistic expectations from surgery should not take surgery.
The surgery had fairly good success rate of 97 - 99%

LASIK surgery cost varies depending on the type of procedure and also hospital. There are few preliminary tests done to know the eligibility. For ex corneal topography, etc.
We can say it is 99% complication free.
It's patient's choice to get it done or not
