Inability to focus is a very common symptom of anxiety. But it can be found in ADHD too, in your case adult ADHD. In Adult ADHD hyperactivity is usually not manifested, it is the lack of attention and concentration that bothers. You should consult a psychiatrist and a detailed evaluation has to be done to confirm the diagnosis and initiate treatment.
