I have gained almost 10 to 15 kgs in a year and has irregular periods as well, though haven't consulted a doctor, it feels i have pcod. I am trying to loose weight and eat healthy avoid junk and processed food along with minimal use of refined sugar in my diet. Recently i have started to have banana peanut butter smoothie with flaxseeds as breakfast which has quite high content of fat. So i just wanna know can i have it considering irregularity my menstrual cycle. And which nutrient i should be having more and which one to have less in order to cure my ocod as well as yo loose weight. Right now i am 73 kg

Ur weight gain,irregular periods are due to ur change of diet,highfat,lack of vitamins and minerals. U take plenty of vegetables,fruits,greengram sprouts,everyday.These supplymicronutrients minerals,vitamins for ur daily requirement.,and fulfil ur nutrient deficiency. Substitute millets for rice. Greengramsprouts  raw,papaya ,can be taken as breakfast. Chew ur food properly. Take ur food in time.Avoid fastfood,preserved food,bakeryfoods,nonveg,spicy,masala,oily foods. Drink enoughwater,buttermilk, vegsoup everyday. Walk,yoga,exercise everyday for one hour.

Hi, You should follow well balanced weight reduction diet. How much weight you need to loose that only depends upon on height. If one used to have same kind of meal everyday it becomes very monotonous and will not be effective. Include in your diet complex carbohydrates, fresh fruits, leafy vegetables. As you have mentioned that you avoid junk and processed food which is good but it is not enough to reduce weight without exercise. Try to do exercise atleast for 30 minutes and follow a healthy lifestyle surely it will help you to reduce weight and get rid off the other problem.
Health Tips
Flaxseed is good but there are other seeds which will help in PCOS. Though you suspect that you have suffered from PCOS but it will be good if you go for medical guidance.
