Radharani Mukherjee has been consulted on 30th Dec, 2017. I have one question is as the knee replacement surgery is effective for 15 years approximately, then what would be the situation after 15 years? It will be fully collapsed and not able to work further? Thanks..

15 years doesn’t mean that it ll collapse after 15 years It just means that average life of implant/surgery is 15 years Most of the patients do well for 15-20 years and some of them develop some issues after that and there are still lot of things which can be done after that depending upon what problem arises
