My mother had knee replacement surgery on 31 July, she is doing physiotherapy from last 20 days. She has a problem of knee stiffness, she had it before the surgery as well. Even with exercises it is not showing significant improvement. She faces pain in her paws and knee when trying to bend or straighten the knees.
Please advice on how many days it could take to straighten the knees and remove the stiffness and bend.

Pain is expected during physiotherapy. You have to continue physiotherapy under supervision of physiotherapist twice daily and three times at home. Need to address stiffness aggressively. Otherwise surgery will not benefit.Do ice fomentation after every physiotherapy sitting. Can take mild painkiller when needed.
Next Steps
Ask your physiotherapist to start CPM machine mobilisation.
Start staircase climbing.
Health Tips
Keep pillows under heels and keep knee free above ground.
When the symptoms and stiffness has been from l9ng time before surgery recovery is also prolonged. It is less than a month since surgery. Just be patient and continue physio exercises
