Hello there, see a physio therapist for a proper assessment according, observation and history will be taken. Most probably at her age arthritis is a common knee problems which leads to weakness of muscles. That's the reason that she is not able to stand up after sitting. Physiotherapy can help in such cases and rehabilitate the patient.
