My mother is suffering from knee pain from while, and swell on legs and knees . Unable to stand or work freely.

Swelling with knee pain could be due to arthritis or injury or infection.
Either case can be managed and both swelling and pain can be reduced.
Take her to any ortho and get her checked up,aube xray done and or blood tests if needed.
At home meanwhile you can apply diclo gel and use heat packs and give her rest.
