Knee ligament injury
My left knee ligament was injured while playing football 1.5 years ago. It had made a loud popping sound which even my friends heard. So I had consulted a doctor and he removed the mucus and blood from the knee by a syringe and the swelling had reduced. I had been given a brace and was walking on crutches. So after a few days my knee was better and I was able to walk, so I started exercising and making it stronger. Wearing a brace, applying ice and pressure, and effective exercise But I knew my knee was not stable like it was before. I had full trust that if I made a sudden turn at a particular direction I would lose it again. So months passed and I did play football quite a few times. Got injured while playing football, while travelling and often heard that popping sound, but I knew how I could recover and kept doing that. But now I'm really sick and tired of this. I don't play football anymore. I lost balance at home and am in bed while I'm writing this. it feels I'm back to square 1

The history is quite typical of an ACL tear and which is compounded by a possible meniscal year as well. Clinical examination will clinch the diagnosis and MRI is needed just to confirm. These should have been done long back, but better late than never!! Best of luck
Next Steps
Clinical examination and MRI
Health Tips
Ice packs and rest currently.
