My father age 60 weight 83 kg have knee joint pain from few months , while walking and standing they feel pain Kindly suggest treatment

Need to know about the built of your dad. If there is swelling over the knee he can go for application of medicinal lepas/pastes to reduce pain and swelling. Further tretment to be decided upon its result

Hi Start this medicine:- :-Yograj guggul 1 tablet BD (after breakfast and dinner) :- mahayograj guggul 1 tablet BD ( after breakfast and dinner ) . Easily available at ptanjli store. :- Do massage of maha narayan oil two times in a day then cover joints with a cloth. Do not eat:- rice,maize roti,curd. Start doing yoga. You get result with in 15 days but you have to eat medicine for 2 or 3 months .

At this age osteoarthritis is common but need to get other tests also done. Supplements like vitamin D and calcium as well as collagen powder will give strength to the knee .Ayurveda has such supplements and also  ayurvedic medicines treat Knee pain.

What is his weight...take proper consultation here because there are few differential diagnosis for knee pain...i.e., osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, krostusheershak, osteoporosis. I need more detail of him for pin point diagnosis.

As of his age, weight & progressive knee pain indicates Sandhi gata Vata or Oseto arthritis. According to Ayurveda aggravated vata dosha वायु धातुर्क्षयात कोपो मार्गस्यावारणेन च So there are good therapies like Janu basti and internal basti treatment which is included in panchakarma treatments
