Hello, As per your x-ray report, you need a Root Canal Treatment. In Root Canal Treatment, the infected pulp is removed, canals are cleaned and then filled with artificial fillings. After Root canal Treatment, tooth become brittle and weak so we need to protect it with cap. Nowadays, Single Sitting RCT is very common and it will be more convenient to you then the traditional one. Try to get RCT done in single Sitting .It  is well tolerated procedure as in this the anesthesia is administered only once and as whole procedure is done in local anesthesia so you experience will completely be pain free.
Next Steps
Get Single Sitting RCT done with a good cap.
Health Tips
Don't Dealy as it may progress to periapical infection and may lead to pus or abscess formation.

Hi sir... According to this pic or x Ray, RCT will be the treatment option or else you may lose the tooth. We can only advise the crown (caping) based on remaining crown portion of tooth, position of opposite tooth etc... (If we get a pic of mouth, then I can say). To prevent from caries formation, you should do the following things : 1. Brush twice daily. 2. Interdental cleansing aids can be used to prevent interdental caries. 3. Routine check up yearly... Etc
Next Steps
You should take the preventive methods to reduce caries formation as I mentioned above...

Based on the xray reports u have two options. 1. Root canal therapy followed by crown 2. Extract the tooth (not suggestive in this case) Ure dentist was absolutely right in saying "save the tooth"by doing a root canal therapy followed by a crown
