Keratoconus and C3R
I have attached my topography reports and doctors advised me to get TPRK + CXL in left eye. Since my right eye vision is 6/6 and -0.5 sph , doctor told to wait for 3 months. I have few questions.. Does we have thin corneas from young age? How much rest is needed after the procedure? What is TPRK and how safe it is considering i have thin corneas? Please provide the insights by seeing the topography reports

I would suggest against tPRK. C3r may be needed if there is progression.

If you have keratoconus disease,it may slowly progress to thin cornea. 10 to 15 days rest is necessary. You can go ahead with the operation. It will be helpful.

Hello, I'll try to clear your doubt in sequence 1) No we don't have thin cornea since childhood normally, You have keratoconus diseases in which it slowly progress and cause thinning with age 2) 1- 2 week rest is sufficient 3) C3R is must to avoid further progression of keratoconus, if you have contact lens intolerance then you can go ahead with TPRK with C3R
