Hello First thing you should ask this thing to the dr who suggested you only kanchnar gugulu. Though kanchnar gugulu is one of the medicines of hypothyroidism, it is not the only medicine. Don't expect that this only medicine will reduce disease. Along with this other medication diet and proper exercise will be needed

Yes,  kanchnar Guggul is a very good potent and accurate medicine ,but first you should get your prakriti parikshan done. Ayurveda works on 3D treatment: 3D means first d is your daily routine (dincharya ),2nd d is your diet and third d is your drugs (means medicines), so please ask your doctor for a proper dincharya ,proper diet, proper medicines and your body type analysis, according to which medicines should be given.

I would suggest you to go with your doctors suggestion. No doubt that kanchnar guggulu is one of the main medication in such conditions. Don't expect overnight changes, follow healthy diet and lifestyle. Based on your lab parameters and group of medications selected it might take 3 months to 9 months or so to cure it. Again it depends, so be in touch with ayurvedic doctor who has good experience in treating such conditions.
